Code-switching is a celebration of the immigrant rigor and spirit. This is a tribute toSouth Asian engineers, designers and makers in general. Their work ethic, culture, ethos permeate through their work, making them impossible to ignore. Rigor, much like ‘Zikr’, has a rhythm to it, exhibited in the Urdu writing that fades in and out of sight. This writing is “Gorakh Dhanda” by Sufi lyricist Naz Khialvi, later sung by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Furthermore, in linguistics, the term ‘code-switching’ occurs when a speaker alternates between two or more languages, or language varieties, in the context of a single conversation.
